What happens at a free home visit
Go To Interiors is a home-based studio, so we come to you rather than asking you to visit a showroom. This guide explains what happens at a home visit and how to get the most out of it. The initial consultation, whether a home visit or a video call, is free and carries no obligation.
What we do when we visit
- Look at the room and take measurements
- Note where water, gas and electrics currently run
- Talk through how you use the space and what isn't working
- Bring materials, finishes and colour samples so you can see and touch them in your own light
- Discuss what's possible and what the next steps would be
Can't do a visit? Try a video call
If you're at an early stage, or a visit doesn't suit, an initial chat over video call works well for talking through ideas, priorities and a rough budget before anyone comes to the house.
How to prepare
- Collect photos or pictures of styles you like, and ones you don't
- Make a note of what annoys you about the current room
- Think about a rough budget range, even if it's flexible
- List any appliances you want to keep or replace
- Think about who else should be there to join the decisions
After the visit
From the survey we can work up layout plans and visuals for you to review, and refine them with you until they're right. There's no obligation at any point before you choose to go ahead.
