Staircase renovation: timber spindles to glass balustrade

This staircase had a painted timber spindle balustrade. It was replaced with a glass balustrade and a matching newel post, opening up the staircase and landing.

What changed

• Painted timber spindles removed
• A glass balustrade installed in their place
• A matching newel post to finish the run

Without the spindles, light travels further and the landing feels brighter and more open.
